Meaningful Spots - Anlamlı Lekeler

Gördüklerimizi kelimelerle anlatabilir miyiz? Hayatımızda karşılaştığımız eşsiz anları kelimelere dökmek istedik ve kaligrafi sanatını dijital fotoğrafçılıkla birleştirerek bir proje oluşturduk. Fotoğraftaki noktalara el yazısının estetik çizgilerini ekledik ve "Anlamlı Lekeler" adlı projemiz ortaya çıktı. Eserlerimizde kendinizden bir parça bulabileceğinizi umuyoruz. Eserler anlamlı el yazıları içerebileceği gibi, bazıları soyut anlamlar da taşıyabilir ve el yazısı ile görüntüyü bir araya getiren melez bir sanat formu olan asemik el yazısını da kapsayabilir. Bazı fotoğraflar ise asemik el yazısına benzer fırça çizgilerini andırır biçimde çekilmiştir.

Can we describe what we see in words? We wanted to put the unique moments we encounter in our lives into words and we combined the art of calligraphy and digital photography in one project. We added the aesthetic line of the handwriting to the image spots in the photo and our project called Meaningful Spots emerged. We hope you can find a piece of yourself in our works. Items could involve meaningful handwritings also some of them may contain abstract meaning and cover asemic hand-writing which is a hybrid art form that fuses hand-writings and image into a unity. Some photographs were taken in a style reminiscent of brushstrokes, similar to asemic handwriting.

Not: Projeyi fotoğrafçı ve içerik üreticisi ben Cem KURTULUŞ ve kaligrafi sanatçısı ve yüksek mimar olan kardeşim Rumeysa Zeynep KURTULUŞ ile beraber oluşturduk. Çalışmamızı Eylül 2024 yılında nft koleksiyonu olarak sanatseverlere sunacaktık lakin şartlar gereği projenin yayınlanmasını ertelemek durumunda kaldık. Global olarak herkese hitap edebilmek için kaligrafi yazı dilini İngilizce seçtik. Proje, anonim alıntılar için herhangi bir kaynak belirtme içermemektedir.

Note: I, Cem KURTULUŞ, photographer and content creator, and my sister, Rumeysa Zeynep KURTULUŞ, calligraphy artist, and architect, created this project together. We were planning to present our work as an NFT collection to art lovers in September 2024, but due to circumstances, we had to postpone the publication of the project. To reach a global audience, we chose English as the language of the calligraphy writings. The project does not include credits for anonymous quotes.
